Who is the creator?

Meet the Founder

Alina Shaikh, a Queens-born native New Yorker with a passion for streetwear and her Pakistani heritage, is the creative force behind Chamak Society, a Brooklyn-born, Made-in-Pakistan streetwear brand. Growing up, Alina spent her childhood summers in Pakistan, where she learned to sew, knit, and embroider from her mother and grandmother. Surrounded by vibrant textiles and traditional craftsmanship, she fell in love with the artistry she saw in every corner tailor shop, inspiring her to embrace her cultural roots despite the odds against her pursuing fashion as a career.

In 2019, Alina took a leap of faith and launched Chamak Society with no formal training but a clear mission: to redefine "Made in Pakistan" and celebrate its rich artisanship.

Her commitment to this vision led her to complete a degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she completed the Global Fashion Management masters program. While studying abroad in Paris and Milan, visits to luxury couture houses only solidified her belief that the craftsmanship she grew up witnessing in Pakistan was unparalleled.

Chamak Society is more than just a fashion brand; it’s a movement. Alina’s vision is to ethically produce clothing that supports Pakistani artisans and their communities, shining a light on true craftsmanship and bridging two worlds. Every piece is made with love, devotion, and meticulous attention to detail, offering fashion with a story, history, and soul.
